For renovation firms

Run your handovers on one list

One defect list instead of forty photos across three chats, a photo for every fix, and a sign-off that ends the job. What defects.sg does for a renovation firm.

The last part of a renovation is the hardest to run. The work is done, the client is moving in, and the defect list arrives as forty photos across three WhatsApp chats. Some items get fixed twice. Some never reach the right trade. Months later, nobody can say for sure what was agreed.

defects.sg puts all of it on one list.

One list, sorted by trade

The homeowner logs each defect with a photo and the room, then sends the whole list once. It reaches you sorted by trade. Nobody has to scroll back through chats to work out which tile was meant.

Each trade gets its own sheet

Add the contractors on a project and give each defect to one of them. Every contractor gets a PDF of their own defects to work from. Only your firm sees who was given what.

Every fix closed with a photo

In Upload fixes, drop a photo on each defect you fixed and send them all at once. The homeowner accepts each fix, and it's closed with a date. No more "you said you'd come back for that".

A record on your side

When a homeowner logged their key collection defects, the record shows what was there before your renovation started. When a homeowner accepted a fix, the record shows that too. Most firms do good work, and a plain record of what happened is the best way to show it.

A clear end to the job

Request sign-off when the list is done. The project closes on that date, with anything still open written down.

Your whole team in one place

Add your renovators under People and see every project in one view. Managers see their own team's work; owners see all of it.

Clients bring you in

Homeowners use defects.sg free, and they invite their renovator from the app. When a client already uses it, you join in a few minutes and their list is waiting.

Try it before a client sees it

Every firm gets a practice project. It isn't counted and it isn't billed, so your team can learn the app on a sample list first.

And the grade

There is one, and it comes from the same list: how much got resolved, how fast, and whether fixes held the first time. It doesn't count how many defects a homeowner raises, and no firm can buy one. Run the list well and the grade takes care of itself. The details are in How a firm's grade works.
